Nach dem verkorksten Rennen letzte Woche, war ich gespannt wie es dieses Wochenende laufen würde. Zum Glück hatte ich dieses mal wieder etwas Power, in den Beinen, am Start. Mit einem 4. Gesamtplatz und dem souveränen Sieg in der Teamwertung, konnte sich das Ergebniss wirklich sehen lassen. Die reine Wiesenstrecke in Sindelfingen hatte ein wirklich spannendes Rennen parat.
Mit etwas Verzögerung fiel der Startschuss für die Langstrecke um 14:00 Uhr. Es waren insgesamt 9 Runden a 1km zu bewältigen. Von Beginn an wurde ein hohes Tempo vorgelegt, sodass sich relativ schnell kleine Gruppen bildeten. Bereits nach der ersten Runde setzte sich Richard Ringer vom restlichen Feld ab. Direkt dahinter folgte eine 5 Mann starke Gruppe an deren Ende ich mich festbiss ;-) Nach der 5 Runde verkleinerte sich die Gruppe auf 4 Mann und der Kampf um die Plätze war freigegeben. Leider konnte ich einer Tempoverschärfung in der 6 Runde nicht mehr folgen. Fortan duellierte ich mich mit einem anderen Athleten um die Blech Medaille. Mit einer Tempoverschärfung in der 8 Runde konnte ich mich dann schlussendlich von meinem Mitstreiter absetzen und lief mit einer Zeit von 28:13 min als 4ter ein. Nicht weit dahinter folgten Holger und Fabi und wir sicherten uns den Baden Württembergischen Meistertitel. Aber nicht nur in den Männerkonkurrenz siegten die Heilbronner auch bei der U23 in der Besetzung Fabian Katz, Maik Waikum und Jeremy Benz konnte der Titel geholt werden. Glückwunsch nochmal hierzu.
Zwar wäre eine Einzelmedaille auch nochmal ne geile Sache gewesen, aber mit einem Manschaftstitel und vorallem der Erkenntnis das die Form auf einem sehr guten Weg ist kann ich gut Leben.
Das Rennen macht Lust auf mehr und ich bin richtig hungrig auf die Triathlonsaison. In 10 Tagen geht es dann endlich in den Süden zum ersten Trainingslager unter der spanischen Sonne, auf Lanzarote.
